Privacy policy for Great Calculator.
Great Calculator is designed to run primarily on the device. The app does not require an account, does not use a developer-operated cloud sync service, and does not track users across apps or websites in the current release.
Current release: local-first utility, optional camera/speech/currency features, no live ads, no account system.
Effective date: June 15, 2026. This policy applies to the current iPhone and iPad package associated with this branch. Update this page before submission whenever permissions, SDKs, data collection, ads, purchases, accounts, sync, or third-party services change.
1. Data the app handles, how it is collected, and how it is used

2. Third-party services and sharing
The app shares data with third parties only for the app functions described below or when you choose to contact support. Third-party services used by the app must provide protection for user data consistent with this policy, the App Store Review Guidelines, and applicable law.
- Apple system frameworks: Camera, speech recognition, microphone permission, Apple Intelligence where available, Vision text recognition, local storage, and system UI are handled through Apple platform frameworks and user permissions.
- Frankfurter API: Used only for on-demand exchange-rate requests from the Money calculator. Currency codes are included in the request; calculation amounts are processed locally by the app after the rate is returned.
- Email provider and website host: If you send support email or visit this website, your email provider and the website host may process ordinary email/server data needed to deliver, secure, and operate those services.
3. Tracking, advertising, and consent
The current release does not request or display ads and does not track users across apps or websites. A prepared Google AdMob code/configuration path remains disabled and unlinked from the default app target; it must not be enabled without updating the app, the App Store privacy labels, and this policy.
4. Retention, deletion, and revoking consent
Local app data remains on the device until you change it, clear it, or remove the app, subject to normal iOS backup, restore, and operating-system behavior. Support emails may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, troubleshoot, maintain service records, and comply with legal obligations.
- Clear local history: Use the in-app history controls to remove saved calculations.
- Control camera access: Use iOS Settings to grant or revoke Camera permission. You can avoid Photo input and still use the core calculator.
- Control microphone and speech recognition: Use iOS Settings to grant or revoke Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions. You can avoid Voice Math and still use the core calculator.
- Avoid live exchange-rate requests: Do not use the optional live Money calculator lookup path.
- Remove local app data: Delete the app to remove app-local data managed by iOS, subject to ordinary operating-system behavior.
- Request support or deletion help: Email [email protected] for privacy questions or support-record deletion requests.
5. Children and age suitability
Great Calculator is a general utility calculator. It does not include social networking, user-generated public feeds, public chat, gambling, real-money gaming, or health-record integration. Camera and speech features are optional tools for equation input.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s privacy practices change. The effective date at the top of the branch should be updated whenever material changes are made.
